Swim Manager
Job Description for Swim Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Swim Manager. The Swim Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the swim department, managing staff, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatics management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting water safety and recreational swimming.Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement policies and procedures for the swim department
– Hire, train, and supervise a team of lifeguards and swim instructors
– Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage for all swim programs
– Monitor pool equipment and ensure maintenance is performed regularly
– Coordinate swim lessons, swim team practices, and other aquatic programs
– Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe swimming environment
– Communicate with patrons, parents, and staff to address any concerns or issues
– Keep accurate records of attendance, program participation, and incident reports
– Assist with special events, swim meets, and other activities as neededQualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in recreation management, sports management, or a related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in aquatics management
– Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification
– Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge of swim instruction techniques and water safety practices
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
– Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Your Duties and Responsibilities…
- To correctly control and manage electronic access and exit of all Club-V members to the Club-V facility.
- To manage all access cards ensuring that they are valid and contain all relevant information.
- To effectively manage the 2 consecutive hour rule.
- To follow the monthly activity roster and theme correctly.
- To ensure that you plan your activities and execute these on an ongoing basis.
- To ensure that you are informed and that you adhere to all emergency procedures in a competent fashion.
- To ensure that you correctly meet all operational standards and requirements and that you understand all of these.
- To maintain control of the Club-V environment.
- To report any incidents immediately to your MOD and/or Club-V Co-ordinator.
- To correctly control stock within the Club-V facility including toys, arts & crafts, disposables/consumables, cleaning aids, movement equipment, games, puzzles, books etc. using the relevant checklists in the Mntwana Box.

– Oversee the planning and execution of club events, social gatherings, and member engagement activities
– Ensure the club’s common areas and amenities are well-maintained and provide a high level of service to members

– Work closely with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure a seamless and cohesive member experience
