Job Description for Stock Controller

Hire Resolves client is looking for a Stock Controller specifically a Packaging controller, who will manage all our packaging, issuing, storage, stock cycle counts, a young person with energy who is willing to work hard.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

  • Manage and monitor stock levels to support production and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of all stock movements, including receiving, issuing, and reconciling stock discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast stock requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective stock control procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system (Pastel Partner experience preferred).
  • Identify and resolve issues related to stock shortages or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials and ensure quality checks upon arrival.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, movements, and usage to support management decisions.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Stock Controller/Packaging Controller position.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control principles.
  • Proficiency with Pastel Partner software MANDATORY and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency required).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stock handling.

Job Description for Raw Materials Planner

Our client is looking for a Raw Material Planner to join their team in Ottery, Cape Town. The Raw Material Planner will ensure the timely availability of materials required for production while minimizing shortages and optimizing inventory levels. This role focuses on raw material demand planning, aligning procurement with production schedules, and inventory management to maintain operational efficiency. The Raw Material Planner will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production schedules to forecast raw material needs.
  • Develop material requirement plans (MRPs) based on forecasts and sales data.
  • Work closely with the procurement manager and production planner to ensure timely ordering and delivery of raw materials.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, determine appropriate safety stock levels, and prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Monitor and analyze SLOB stock to develop strategies for reduction and elimination.
  • Track material usage trends to provide insights for SKU consolidation opportunities and process improvements.
  • Liaise with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Address material-related issues and manage any resulting deviations effectively.
  • Ensure alignment between procurement and production timelines through effective communication and risk identification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • A diploma in a relevant field may be considered if the candidate has extensive experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in materials planning, supply chain management, procurement, or inventory management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or production environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, SYSPRO, etc.) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of forecasting and demand planning techniques.

Responsibilities:
• Installation & Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain milking machines and related dairy equipment, ensuring they are functioning at optimal levels.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair malfunctions or issues with milking machines, pumps, pipelines, and other dairy equipment.
• Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on milking machines and other machinery to identify and resolve any potential issues before they impact operations.
• Troubleshooting: Quickly respond to malfunctions or breakdowns to minimize downtime, using troubleshooting skills to find the cause and implement effective solutions.
• Training: Provide training and support to farm staff on the proper use and maintenance of milking equipment.

Requirements:
