Purpose of the Position

The primary purpose of the Reach Truck Driver role is to operate reach truck equipment safely and efficiently while supporting warehouse operations, inventory management, stock movement, and distribution activities.

The successful candidate will ensure products are stored, picked, transported, and handled accurately while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Reach Truck Operations

• Safely operate reach truck equipment within the warehouse environment.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and organize stock efficiently.
• Transport products between storage locations and picking areas.
• Ensure safe handling of goods at all times.
• Conduct equipment inspections before and after operation.
• Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements immediately.

Warehouse Operations

• Assist with receiving and dispatching stock.
• Support warehouse storage and inventory control processes.
• Ensure products are correctly stored according to warehouse procedures.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment activities.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Participate in stock counts and inventory audits.

Inventory Management

• Ensure accurate movement of stock within warehouse systems.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following criteria:

Educational Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

Licensing Requirements

• Valid Reach Truck Operator License.
• Certification to operate warehouse lifting equipment.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ Reach Truck driving experience.
• Previous warehouse or distribution centre experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment in a logistics environment will be advantageous.
