Purpose of the Position
The General Assistant is responsible for supporting various store functions, including customer service, stock replenishment, housekeeping, merchandising, receiving and dispatching stock, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about products and promotions.
- Direct customers to the correct departments or products.
- Assist customers with loading purchases when necessary.

Stock Control and Merchandising
- Assist with receiving and unpacking stock deliveries.
- Ensure products are displayed according to company standards.
- Replenish stock on shelves and showroom floors.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
- Ensure price labels and promotional signage are accurate.
Housekeeping and Store Maintenance

- Report any maintenance issues to management.
Receiving and Dispatching Stock
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.

Operational Support
- Support sales staff during busy trading periods.

Minimum Requirements
