As a Driver at Auto Pedigree, you will play an important role in supporting dealership operations by ensuring the safe transportation of vehicles, documentation, staff, and customers when required.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Driver position is to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of vehicles, documents, parts, and personnel while maintaining company standards and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle collection and delivery, assisting with dealership logistics, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, and maintaining compliance with road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Transportation

• Safely transport vehicles between dealership branches and customer locations.
• Deliver sold vehicles to customers as required.
• Collect vehicles from suppliers, auctions, service centers, and customers.
• Conduct vehicle handovers professionally.
• Ensure vehicles are delivered within agreed timelines.

Vehicle Inspection

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Check fuel levels, tire condition, lights, brakes, and overall vehicle condition.
• Report any damages, defects, or maintenance issues immediately.
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy before transportation.

Documentation Management

• Handle vehicle documentation accurately.
• Ensure all required delivery and collection documents are completed correctly.
• Obtain customer signatures where necessary.
• Submit documentation to management promptly.

Customer Service

• Maintain professional interactions with customers.
• Represent Auto Pedigree positively during collections and deliveries.
• Answer basic customer queries professionally.
• Provide excellent service during vehicle handovers.

Logistics Support

• Assist with dealership operational requirements.
• Support vehicle stock transfers between branches.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with management.
• Assist with general dealership duties when required.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all road traffic regulations.
• Follow company vehicle handling procedures.
• Ensure safe driving practices at all times.
• Maintain compliance with company health and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should possess the following:

Educational Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

Driver’s License Requirements

• Valid South African Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

Experience Requirements
