REQUIREMENTS: Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, night shift and overtime when requested. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Provision of Quality Nursing Care to healthcare users. Appropriate experience in a Health environment.
DUTIES: (key result areas/outputs): Provide quality basic nursing care. Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Assist patients with activities of daily living which include Patient Hygiene, Nutritional Status, mobility, and elimination needs. Maintaining professional growth, Ethical Standards and Self-development. Record keeping. Support to supervisor and colleagues by team participation. Maintain a degree of professionalism in the execution of duties.
