Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
– Safely transport dangerous goods in accordance with the relevant regulations and guidelines.
– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and ensure that all necessary safety equipment is in place and functioning properly.
– Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
– Follow established routes and schedules, while also being able to adjust to unforeseen circumstances as needed.
– Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate pick-up and delivery operations.
– Monitor and maintain the condition of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or damage to the appropriate personnel.
– Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as any relevant federal and state regulations.
Qualifications:
– Valid Code 14 driver’s license with Dangerous Goods endorsement.
– Proven experience as a Dangerous Goods Code 14 Driver.
– Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past five years.
– Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and safety procedures pertaining to the transportation of dangerous goods.
– Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly in potentially hazardous situations.
– Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of long hours on the road.
– Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
