Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled IT Senior Technician to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This role is pivotal for ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure and providing expert technical support across the organization. As an IT Senior Technician, you will lead problem-solving initiatives and mentor junior team members while engaging with various departments to enhance overall IT performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT support team, offering technical guidance and support on complex issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems effectively.
• Oversee IT projects, including system installations and upgrades, ensuring timely delivery.
• Implement preventative maintenance to ensure the highest levels of systems availability.
• Conduct staff training on IT procedures and best practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation for IT processes, configurations, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with different departments to align IT strategies with business goals.
• Stay current with advancements in technology to recommend upgrades and improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT support role or similar capacity.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience managing IT projects and leading technical teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Relevant professional certifications such as A+, Network+, or MCSE are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative environment.
