Job Description
VBKOM is a consulting firm established by a group of mining engineers in 2008. The firm specializes in providing expert technical mining consulting services to its clients across Africa and internationally.
VBKOM is focused on expanding its service offerings and geographical reach, ensuring value is delivered in the mining and other capital-intensive sectors.
ABOUT THE VBKOM BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
VBKOM invites applications for its bursary programme for the 2025 academic year. The bursaries are available for studies in the following fields:
- Geology
- Industrial Engineering
- Metallurgy
- Mining Engineering
BURSARY BENEFITS
The VBKOM bursary covers the following expenses:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
Bursary recipients may also have the opportunity to gain vacation work experience with VBKOM, contingent on their discretion. The bursary is renewable annually, and recipients must submit their semester marks for continued support.
Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for an interview. If you do not receive feedback, please consider your application unsuccessful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To apply for the VBKOM bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be pursuing a qualification in one of the listed fields
- Must be in their 2nd year or higher of study
- Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60%
- Must demonstrate hard work and inquisitiveness
