What We Offer

Our bursary scheme provides financial support for previously disadvantaged and academically capable students to pursue higher education. We support qualifications in the following critical, scarce skills areas:

  • BSc/B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering (Heavy and Light Current)
  • BSc/B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology
  • B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Mechatronics)

Eligibility Criteria

Grade 12 Applications:

  • Completed Matric/Grade 12
  • Achieved a minimum of Level 5 in English, Pure Maths, and Physical Science
  • Open to unemployed South African citizens aged between 18 – 25 years

University Applications:

  • Minimum academic average of 65% in the year of application (Grade 12 or Tertiary Level)
  • Must be studying or accepted to study full-time in one of the approved fields
  • The institution must be locally recognized
  • Proof of acceptance by the institution is required before the bursary can be awarded
  • No other funding sources, such as other bursaries or NSFAS

  4. Matric Certificate (Grade 11 Results and Grade 12 Trial Marks)
  5. Full Tertiary Academic Record (if applicable)

Note: Accepted candidates are required to work for Siemens during vacation periods. Successful applicants will be contacted for a virtual video interview.
