Bursary Coverage
The Foskor bursary covers the following:
- Registration fees
- Class fees
- Prescribed study materials
Obligations
In return for receiving the bursary, students are required to:
- Work for Foskor for the duration of the bursary
- Undertake vacation work within the company
Eligible Disciplines
The bursary is available for the following fields of study:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Law
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgy
- Mine Survey
- Mining Engineering
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the Foskor bursary, applicants must meet all of the below criteria:
- Must have completed Matric.
- Must have achieved a minimum of 60% in Mathematics and Science (Higher Grade) in Matric.
- Must be studying full-time towards an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in one of the fields listed.
- Must be enrolled at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa.
- Must not be receiving any other bursary funding.

Required Documents
Applicants must submit clear copies of the following documentation:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- A shortened Curriculum Vitae (1 page) including contact details
- Proof of registration at a tertiary institution indicating the field of study (on the institution’s letterhead)
Closing Date
All applications must be submitted by 22 January 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted, so applicants should ensure their documents are sent before the deadline.
