Job Title: Teacher – Computer Application Technology / Digi ED / Robotics and Coding
Location: Pinnacle College Ridge View
Position Type: Full-time, contract
Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced individual to join our team as a Teacher of Computer Application Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering curriculum, creating engaging lesson plans, and providing hands-on instruction in various computer applications and technology tools.
Responsibilities:
– Implement the comprehensive Coding and Robotics curriculum and possibly teach CAT in later years
– Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
– Provide hands-on instruction in various computer applications, software programs, and technology tools
– Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments, and provide constructive feedback to promote student growth and success
– Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
– Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and share best practices in teaching Computer Application Technology
– Stay current on advancements in computer technology and applications to continuously improve curriculum and instruction
– Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in Computer Application Technology
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
– Teaching qualification
– SACE registration
– 2+ years of teaching experience in Computer Application Technology, preferably at the high school level
– Proficiency in a variety of computer applications, software programs, and technology tools
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with colleagues
– Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
– Passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in Computer Application Technology
Pinnacle College Ridge View is set to welcome its inaugural Grade 8 and Grade 9 classes in January 2025. As the eighth institution in the Pinnacle brand, PCRV will see its first Grade 12 students sit for the IEB exams in 2028. Joining the founding staff of PCRV is a rare and exceptional opportunity. Interviews will be conducted in late July and throughout August.
