Qualification(s):

• National Diploma Electrical/National N Diploma Technical Engineering At NQF6 with 240 credits

• 3-years P1+P2 Practical experience in a Technical Environment

• Accredited to level 2 or intermediate for control plant specific maintenance discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of power system protection principles, including fault detection, discrimination and clearance as well as coordination with other protection devices and systems

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain control plant equipment
• Diagnose faults and repair control plant equipment
• Install and commission control plant equipment
• Adhere to safety, health, environment, quality, and security (SHEQS) requirements
• Installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of protective relays, devices and systems designed to detect and mitigate faults and abnormal conditions in power systems.
• Understanding of electrical principles, power systems and protective relaying concepts.
