Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Frontline Supervisor for their store in Sasolburg. Support customer service to ensure a world class shopping experience. Liaise between management and cashiers. Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum of 2 years cashier related work experience, of which 6 months should be shadowing a Cashier Supervisor

  • 3 years’ work experience, with 1 year supervisory experience

Job Specification…

  • Manage and report all customer compliments and complaints to management.
  • Ensure branch queues flow smoothly.
  • Pay attention to the manner in which customers respond to cashiers, and act accordingly.
  • Manage the shorts and overs at the points of sale, including floats.
  • Manage discrepancies at the point of sale.
  • Authorise line voids, tender ups and price overrides.
  • Manage refunds and returns transactions according to Dis-Chem operating procedures.
  • Transact all purchases – receive and process all types of payments (cash, card, vouchers, coupons and other payments accepted by Dis-Chem).
  • Ensure accurate document control by checking the following:
    • Drop registers
    • Documents verification
    • Customer documentation
    • Correct handling of the gloats as per our standard operating procedures.
    • All other documentation related to till operations
  • Ensure back shopping and returned goods are handled correctly.
  • Ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned.
  • Train and assist new cashiers

Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Trolley Collector for their store in Vaal Mall. You will be responsible for collecting Dis-Chem trolleys from car parks, including other shopping centre areas, and returning them to the Dis-Chem store’s designated trolley area.

 

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • No relevant retail experience required
  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Up to 6 months’ retail experience

Job Specification…

  • Collect trolleys using basic productive planning methods to gather trolleys in one area, stack them together and move them back to the store.
  • Observe car park and other areas in the shopping centre to find trolleys left by shoppers, and return these to the store.
  • Take precaution, watching for pedestrians and vehicles while removing trolleys from car parking areas, to avoid unnecessary injury and/or damage.
  • Return trolleys to designated trolley area in front of the store for customers to easily acquire.
  • Identify damaged trolleys, and remove them from the rest of the collection, and inform management.
  • Where possible, do minor repairs on damaged trolleys, and inform management.
  • Ensure trolleys are clean when returning them to the designated trolley area.
  • Ensure the store has enough trolleys in the designated trolley area.
  • Assist in finding a trolley for customers when they cannot seem to find on for themselves.
  • Direct customers to the store and/or Customer Service Desk in the store, when asked for assistance regarding Dis-Chem related queries.
  • Report any trolley discrepancies to management as soon as you become aware of it.
  • When not collecting trolleys, report back to the store and assist with duties as per management’s instructions.
