Your purpose:

Ensure an enhanced customer experience in the area by ensuring adherence to processes that minimize risk, improve efficiencies and grow sales & profit whilst controlling expenses, resources and energy.

Key responsibilities:

Administration:

  • Proactively manage losses to maintain them within 0.7% of sales, including write-offs.
  • Implement strategic plans to minimize shrinkage in compliance with the Stock Loss policy.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and cyclical counts as per operational requirements.
  • Achieve Mark Down targets and maintain data integrity at a minimum of 90% in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to security procedures, prioritizing customer service.
  • Efficiently manage the labour scheduling platform, addressing exceptions and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain store administration in line with policies and procedures.
  • Support the Store Manager in conducting store assessments to achieve desired results.
  • Manage Como reports weekly and submit exceptions to the Regional Risk Administrator.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance checks and take appropriate action.

 

Profit:

  • Manage controllable expenses in alignment with the store’s budget.
  • Alert the Store Manager of any potential deviations from the budget.

 

Innovation:

  • Continuously analyze and challenge existing processes to identify better ways of working, particularly in Systems & Procedures, Labour Scheduling Efficiencies, and Mobile POS.

People:

  • Ensure that induction, training, and development programs are executed at an optimum level.

What are the requirements?

  • Grade 12
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a store management position, ideally focusing specifically in mitigating risk elements with in retail operations.
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Business understanding of retail trade, Company Audit Processes, Risk evaluation.
