KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Foreman, Electrical
The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

By having to plan, develop and execute all underground electrical installations and operations on the Kakula mine. You will be supervising specialists. The scope/portfolio of this role includes the management and supply of water and power, and the maintenance of equipment for the purpose of mining operations and business continuity.
You will have the following:
- N3 certificate
- Grade 12
- Courses in Safety Risk Assessment
- Medium voltage training course
- 10 + years since start apprenticeship, and 4+ years as a qualified artisan
Preferably you will have:
- Be a Qualified Electrician
- Leadership qualification
- Project management qualification
- Proficiency in French or Swahili is highly desirable
You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:
- Pumping/Fluid systems
- Electrical systems
- Underground mining
- Planning and Project Management
- Procurement knowledge
- Leadership skills
Technical Skills should include:

- Teaching & Coaching

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
Process: Render services to Mining
- Ensure the supply of power and pumping systems for the mining operations and business continuity
- Maintain systems to ensure business continuity
- Manage and oversee Contractors and service providers
- Drive effective problem solving and continuous improvements
- Function as an Electrical subject matter expert
