To analyze credit reports as well as interpret the current and projected company credit position

experience and qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: B.Comm / B. Accounting Hons. or relevant degree
  • Preferred Qualification: Qualified CA
  • Experience : 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior management level
  • Knowledge Required: Highly competent in reporting, analyzing trends and provisioning of models. Must display excellent attention to detail

additional requirements

  • Utilize SAS and SQL experience to produce daily and monthly reports
  • Assist with ad-hoc data extraction and analysis

responsibilities

  • Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
  • Contribute to the development of a budget aligned to operational delivery plans, monitor effectiveness, and report on variances
  • Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation
  • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
  • Forecast, manage and optimize financial resources ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed budget
  • Comply with all governance requirements to eliminate risks
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information)
  • Implement effective financial models to ensure income and costs are projected accurately
  • Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
  • Provide professional administration services to the Credit Department
  • Collate data from various Business Units on risk metrics to update and maintain credit policies
  • Assess own performance through seeking timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
