DRIVER (LIGHT-DUTY VEHICLE)

SALARY: R125 373 per annum

CENTRE: Lentegeur Hospital

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience: Appropriate driving experience. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid code (B) driver’s licence. Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP). Willingness to work overtime. Willingness to perform standby duties. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Ability to accept accountability, responsibility to work independently and good interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of Transport Regulations and Circular no 4 of 2000. Knowledge of routine, maintenance, Inspections for defects on vehicles and safe driving skills.

DUTIES: (key result areas/outputs): Ensure an efficient and effective transport service for Lentegeur Hospital. Ensure routine Maintenance of GG vehicles. Ensure an effective daily Transport Administration and support to the Supervisor. Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy. Ensure correct collection and delivery of blood and specimens.
