Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate plus 1 to 2 years experience in Communications. National Diploma/Degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing Management will be an added advantage.
Duties
Assist with the management of the institution’s social media platforms. Write news and editorials to publish to the institution’s newsletter or any other media platform. Conduct daily print and online media monitoring, write summary reports on critical issues as well as media analysis reports. Liaise with the media for enquiries, editorials or media invitations. Write media advisories when requested. Assist with the planning and execution of the institution’s events. Assist with the development and implementation of communication campaigns and projects. Prepare activities and participate in events planning forums. Provide assistance in content development and designing promotional material such as flyers, posters, broachers etc according to the GDoH branding manual. Assist with managing the institution’s noticeboards, creation of name tags for staff and drafting memorandums to disseminate to staff as part of internal communications. Plan meetings and provide secretarial duties i.e. writing minutes and reports. Liaise with the institution’s stakeholders.
