Join us as an Engineering Assistant B6 where you will provide a pool of support of basic discipline specific engineering, technical skills and is required to support all the Engineering Foreman/Artisan to whom the individual is allocated to perform low complexity high volume work.

Job Description:

As an Engineering Assistant assist with basic maintenance and repair of equipment / machinery.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Changing tasks and machine settings on the shift to minimize the effect of unexpected problems
  • Assist with stopping the operation if the work conditions are unsafe
  • Will provide assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within and without the team
  • Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites
  • Ensure material & workshop machinery & equipment control

This role is in the Engineering Department at a B6 level reporting to the Section Engineer Production


You will need:

  • Must have Grade 12 (Maths and Science)/ N3 equivalent

 Experience required: 

  • Must have a min 3 years as an Engineering Assistant
  • Computer literacy
  • SAP system exp – Advantageous
Additional information
  • A medical fitness test will be required
  • Driver’s license – Advantageous
