The role:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
 Assist OHP and OMP with daily routine
 Recordkeeping
 Occupational Health, Audiometry, Lung function, Eye testing, Urine testing
 Assist with administrative work
 Medical waste control
 Health Education
 Take part in Safety campaigns
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
 Registered Auxiliary Nurse with SANC
 Certificate in Audiometry
 Certificate as Lung function operator
 Vision testing certificate
 3+ years’ post qualification experience as a nurse
 Computer literacy skills in MS Office essential
 Valid South African Driver’s License
 Good written and verbal communication skills in English
 Knowledge of nursing processes, procedures and techniques
 Understanding of safety management, behavioural safety and risk management framework, procedures and systems
 Good understanding of the related health care polices and procedures
 In depth understanding of relevant medical legislation including: The Mine Health and Safety Act, Health Act, Occupational Diseases Act,
Nursing Bill and Dispensing Act
 Understanding of Anglo Coal culture
 Keep up to date with current medical standards and trends
 A good understanding of Anglo Coal South Africa policies and procedures
 Knowledge of relevant trends in the medical field, relating to health and wellbeing.
 Aware of best practices and knew technologies in the industry
