The City of Johannesburg is looking for dedicated, disciplined, and community-driven individuals to serve as Metropolitan Police Officers within the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD). 🔰 Key Responsibilities:

Enforce municipal by-laws, traffic laws, and criminal law as delegated.

Promote road safety and conduct routine patrols.
-
Manage traffic flow and accident scenes.
-
Assist in crime prevention and visible policing efforts.
-
Respond to public complaints and emergency incidents.
-
Support major city events and maintain public order.
✅ Minimum Requirements:
-
South African Citizenship
-
Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
-
Valid Code B Driver’s Licence
-
No Criminal Record
-
Must be mentally and physically fit (subject to medical examination)
-
Pass a psychometric and physical fitness assessment
-
Fluent in English and at least one other official language
-
Willing to undergo intensive training at the JMPD Academy
